I’m honored to be a featured artist on the first episode of the KFAI’s Second Season of “Sounds Unexpected”, hosted by Morgan Schoonover, and based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This show features the entirety of my work “Coastlines”, and talk about the intersections between being a non-binary artist and how identity intersects with this work. This episode also features “Coming Home” from composer Margaux N. Simmons.
“Every time a piece is performed, it reveals something different”. Thank you for having me, Morgan, and please enjoy the show!
About the show, Sounds Unexpected. “Sounds Unexpected is a podcast designed to expose female and non-binary artists working with sound. By giving platform to artists oppressed by gender, age, or artistic status, we hope to build a network of awareness for sounds that occur outside the gaze of the main stage. Sounds Unexpected is not committed to any one genre of music or sound. All creative sonic acts by the female or non-binary person are and will be encouraged and considered.” Also, please check out more of Morgan’s work here!
